I was naked the first time I met Konstantin Kakanias. I was an artist’s model – my first job in Paris – and he was an artist. I haven’t seen him since the late 80s, at which point I believe he moved to the US, so I’m delighted our paths are crossing again, albeit virtually, thanks to Frédéric Malle. Konstantin has already illustrated the brand’s home fragrances booklet: now, for  L’Art du Parfum, he offers his personal interpretations of Frédéric Malle’s perfumes. I haven’t had the pleasure yet of reading the book, which is already sold in the shops in the French version, but meanwhile, I couldn’t resist showing an example of Konstantin’s gorgeous work.
